Movies, and other things…

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Over here, we are putting our clocks back to their regular time.  The time is a hour ahead again.  We used to turn them an hour more right around Easter, and an hour back right before Halloween.  Now the clocks go back an hour sometime after Halloween, and way before Spring Solstice begins.

Anyway, I went with Andy, and we saw Battle Los Angeles.  It was a good movie.  It was similar to ID4 with Will Smith, and it was different in its own way.  It is funny how we perceive aliens as being vile creatures.  The truth is, we don’t know how they can truly be.  Anyway, I think these movies show us that we should appreciate what we got here on earth and not to tread too hard on it.

Speaking of earth, have you tried to use Google Earth?  It’s a site that shows you streets and locations as if you were standing right there.  I took a visit to a few of my old neighborhoods I had lived in.

Well, It’s time for me to try to get some sleep. I don’t know why, but this day really wore me out.

  1. Hi Diana,

Your blogs certainyl highlight for me how much time I’ve spent away from the computer! I am sorry I fell so far behind.

Daylight savings will end here at the end of March. We’ve had it extended by a month. The State of Queensland doesn’t participate in daylight savings here. The farmers say it will mess things up too much. Farmers in other states maange sooo who knows. *lol*
I have no idea of the real origins of daylight savings either. What you know is the same as myself that it was to throw off the enemy…hmmm you’re not the only one who needs to research this further. 🙂

I’m glad you’re finding more time for other things with not being online. I find my days very full without FB.

As to your questions. I hope that aliens exisit. I really would hate for us to be the only ones in the universe. That seems like bad math to me, so they must be out there somewhere! please!

I do agree that we do have a negative view of aliens but I suppose for many the thought that technologically advanced aliens would visit us just for holidays is not very likely, I do have a tendancy to agree.
We are resource rich and who knows what they could do with our raw materials. That alone would make us a tempting buffet for resources poor aliens.
I’m sure though too there should be those who are just curious to see what’s out there in the universe and do just want to chat exchange and learn…Well I hope so anyway. 🙂

I have no plans for the movies here. It’s rather expense and we’ve just made some huge financial commitments so it’s going to be DVD’s for a while. 🙂

Brightest Blessings to you for a great week ahead.
